I actually upgraded from a 38mm series 2 which I never had problems with though. I think it comes down to the preference of style, smaller looks a little more like a 'normal' watch and the 44 looks a little more like a smart watch. I had the same question about one week ago. My wrist is about 16cm and I got 44 mm as it looks not that big but has much larger screen. 40mm looks more accurate, but again, this is up to you and your preferences. May 14, 2020 · I just got my first Apple Watch on Mother’s Day! It’s a series 5 44mm Which is what I wanted because of course bigger is always better right and because my vision is not the best. But when I put it on my tiny wrist it looks pretty large. So I exchanged it yesterday for the 40 but I’m thinking the 40 is too small. Few questions:

In person the difference is not very visible because of the more rounded edges and the slimmer profile.
